Right now I'm still using the 12Ah SLA's that came with the kit. In order to mount them I had some friends in the company model shop fabricate a custom rack that would ount on my trike. The BL-36 kit comes with a rack that would mount on your Mt. bike.
hello Garret,
I searched and found that as an entry level the Wilderness Energy BL-36 kit was the least expensive, easy to manage system. At your size, weight, and proposed wheel size you'll have more than enough torque and zip. I bought mine through Bernson. Dennis Bernson was most helpful and he even met an advertised lower price for a competitors product! Stocking for him is the only problem. The kits go out as fast as the come in. He can be reached by phone, 866-386-6888 or bernson@wowway.com. Let me know what you decide. By the way, as ypou can see from the photo I have my BL-36 on a trike. That trike, plus my 6'-2", 300 lbs :)
